Trust
Trust is the currency of life. The more trust you have, the more you can do. If you lose trust, you lose your currency.
Trust, like currency, is built up over time. You start at minimum wage until you prove yourself. Once you have proven yourself, then the wage goes up along with the responsibilities. Trust works the same way. Where you may be trusted with little things to begin with, as you earn that trust by being responsible with it, you are given greater responsibilities.
If you lose that trust, it has to be rebuilt. The greater the responsibility, the further it sets you back when the trust is lost.
Your words and actions are like your credit cards to that currency. When you say you will do something and then don't, it is like pulling money out of the ATM and then leaving it sit there. You have lost trust. When you keep your word, then you have the currency in life to spend on extras.
